Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document is not just a document but a platform for the accelerated growth of the state on its way to a USD 3 trillion economy.
Telangana has always had aspirations. What was missing was a long-term, comprehensive, future-ready plan to match these aspirations. “This time we have not only built a document but also a platform,” he said while addressing the valedictorian of the Telangana Rising Global Summit on Tuesday. Expressing satisfaction at the success of the summit, he asserted that from capital frameworks to agricultural value chains, from frontier technologies to forest economies, people have not only spoken but expressed their readiness to commit and act,” he said.
Referring to the summit, he said he was thinking about the word summit, which was of two kinds. The first type proposed to take everyone’s speeches, add all the suggestions and get the sum. “It’s math,”. “But the second type, what we witnessed today. It cannot be summed up. Each session not only added new ideas, but multiplied opportunities,” he said to the applause of the participants.
Earlier, speakers including NITI Aayog’s Suman Bera and former RBI Governor lauded the state government, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his cabinet colleagues for conceiving the summit and made suggestions. In his virtual speech, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen said the summit was historic and the document shaped people’s aspirations including a road map that had basic assumptions. He said he was interested in partnering with the Telangana government in its efforts to boost the use of artificial intelligence in governance and other sectors.
Former RBI Governor D. Subba Rao lauded the transformation of Telangana over the past few years from an area once associated with feudalism, poverty, backwardness and ignorance. The state was probably number one in the country with the highest growth rate.
Mr Siman Bery said he appreciated the government’s vision for the next two decades and advised it to focus on productivity. Ease of doing business, deregulation and other factors should be examined as they were like bricks and mortar on the way to achieving the goals.
