The tension prevailed in the village of Yerrabalem in the Mandal Cross in the Palnad district, when the police came to investigate the murder case on Tuesday. According to the police, the shepherd of Venkateshwar, Naik, allegedly killed his son Mangya Naik (19) because of family disputes and buried the body near the canal.
After the complaint, the police arrested Venekkeshwar and brought him to Yerrabalem for the reconstruction of the scene. An angry villagers and family members tried to attack the accused who was in a police binding. When the police tried to stop the villagers, Suresh and other police staff attacked the inspector Circle (CI).
The police eventually scattered villagers and got the situation under control. They try to identify those who resorted to attack, said the policeman.
