The PV Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU) celebrated its 11th Foundation Day marking a decade of academic growth and expansion in Veterinary Science, Dairy Technology and Fisheries.
K. Ilambarthi, Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries inaugurated the newly approved e-resources (books and journals) funded under ICAR Sub-Plan – Scheduled Caste. These digital resources will be accessible to SC, ST and BC students in all faculties of the university and will provide vital academic support in building their careers.
He highlighted the expanding role of the livestock sector in public health, nutrition security and its significant contribution to the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP).
M. Gnana Prakash, Vice-Chancellor PVNRTVU outlined the milestones of the university including establishment of Veterinary College at Mamnoor, Fisheries College at Pebbair, establishment of AICRP-Poultry Unit at Mamnoor and development of NABL accredited laboratory at Hyderabad among others.
A. Saratchandra, Registrar PVNRTVU and Raja Reddy, Vice Chancellor Konda Laxman Bapuji Horticulture University also spoke.
