The use of mobile phones prevents creativity among children, said Kishhor M., Head of Psychiatry, JSS Medical College and Hospital, Mysur.
Dr. Kishhor said in the program of awareness of the harmful effects of the use of mobile phones in school children that the creativity of children could be taken if they learn to maintain distance from mobile phones.
When Dr. Kishhore addressed students 8, 9 and 10, emphasized the bad effects of excessive use of mobile phones and tried to inspire examples of great success.
“In our country, APJ Abdul Kalam gained glory through his visionary ideas; Nobel’s Laurate CV Raman became a great scientist through determination; Sudha Murty was honored by Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri Shri Awards for her passion because it focused on focusing on much. They were looking for innovations in their work and cultivated positive habits and hobbies, ”he said.
“Nowadays, many parents give mobile phones to their children to make them eat or remain occupied when they do their own work. This habit causes children dependent on mobile phones. Kishhor.
He warned that exposure to inappropriate content could also push children to bad habits such as smoking, chewing tobacco or even drug use. “Many innocent children regret to send personal photos or videos online, leading to need and loss for children and parents,” he said.
Dr. Kishhore suggested that drawing is an excellent way to raise the creativity of children. “Instead of copying pictures from mobile phones, children should try to draw from their imagination. This increases concentration and originality,” he said, referring to the renowned artist Raja Ravi Varma, whom he said, gained fame with his creative expression.
He also emphasized the importance of the outdoor game. “The involvement in the outside world learns to understand real life challenges and find a solution,” he said.
The program was organized by Heart Organization, Mysur, in cooperation with the International School of Mysur.
