Mr Sharif accused India of “escalating and provocative behavior” in a statement of stere from his office and urged the US to impress India to turn rhetoric and act responsibly.
Pakistani Minister of Information Attaullah Tara on Wednesday (April 30, 2025) said that the country has credible intelligence, that India intends to initiate a military strike over the next 36 hours.
The Ministry of the External Affairs did not respond immediately to the comment request.
Mr. Rubio “encourages other national leaders and foreign ministers to address the countries on this matter,” a state ministry spokesman said. “It is obvious that we are also monitoring the development in this region in this region and we are in contact with the governments of India and Pakistan at several levels. We encourage all parties to cooperate for the responsible solution. The world follows,” she added.
Mrs. Bruce, who responded to the question of the comments of the Minister of Defense Pakistan Khawaja Asif that Pakistan “does this dirty work”, said “The only thing I really prepared to discuss here is the fact that Foreign Minister will talk to the Ministers of both countries”.
“So it is – again, as I noted, everyday actions are performed, in this case the secretary speaks directly to his counterparts in India and Pakistan and well – we certainly expect the impact he usually had with the individuals he had spoken to, and certainly with President Donald Trump, India and Pakistan,” Mrs. Bruce said.
