
As a show of corporate responsibility, one burger chain in the United States awarded bonuses of nearly $1.5 million (approximately ₹15 crore) to its employees for handling the extreme pressure during the promotional campaign.
Burger chain Five Guys launched a buy-one-get-one-free offer on February 17 to mark its 40th anniversary. With a massive onslaught of customers, which significantly burdened employees and operations, but fast food did not count.
“The promotion has expanded far beyond what we expected and our hard working crews have been put in a difficult situation,” Five Guys said. New York Post.

CEO Jerry Murrell acknowledged that the company had underestimated demand. He said the bonuses were intended to recognize the dedication and resilience of staff during a difficult period.
“I didn’t want to get shot in the back or anything after the first day because we really screwed up. We had no idea we were going to get this response,” Fortune said.
The company also praised its frontline workers, saying their efforts reflect the dedication and commitment that have defined the brand over the years.
₹Bonus 238 million!
In a similar incident, a Chinese company rewarded its employees with 180 million yuan (approx ₹238 million crowns) in bonuses at the end of the year from a profit of 270 million yuan.
According to a South China Morning Post report, Henan Kuangshan Crane Co held its annual gala on February 13, during which more than 60 million yuan in cash was handed over on the spot.
The announcement of the massive bonus payout at an event attended by approximately 7,000 employees quickly gained traction on social media platforms, generating admiration, surprise and a fair amount of envy among netizens.
