A 45 -year -old woman in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, reportedly organized her own kidnapping and rape of gangs in an effort to falsely impose a local public representative. She even got a quack to “superficially” implanted a bullet in the shoulder to create a claim.
The woman was identified as Sona aka Shamoli Kaushik, police said Bareilly.

Female version
This matter came to light when the police received information that unidentified persons shot a woman. The police team arrived and sent it to the hospital.
The woman allegedly claimed that she was on her way to the medical store when five men kidnapped her in the car. According to Indian Express, she claimed that three of them were raped, shot and threw her near Gandhi Udyan.

The complaint filed a relative of a woman. Later, the police registered companies against unidentified persons.
“On the basis of a complaint filed by the above, the case was registered on the basis of Firk No. 139/2025 pursuant to Section 140 (1) (1) (4) (4)/109 BNS and the investigation started,” the police said.
The police then explored the records of the woman’s call and gathered the CCTV shots from the areas between the place where she claimed that she was kidnapped and where she was later found, the Indian Express report added.

Doubts were raised when …
Police began to doubt the female version of the incident when the shots showed that the woman was traveling at a pace and uses her cell phone when she was to be kidnapped, NDTV reported.
Assistant Superintendent Police Manush Pareek was quoted as said that women’s medical reports also raised questions about bullet injuries. There was no “entrance blow”.
A woman admits a crime
During the interrogation, the woman admitted that she would falsely apply demands on several locals. She said that the quack “superficially implanted” the bullet into her shoulder in exchange for money, the police added.

“Bullet has been implanted”
Pareek said Indian Express: “IT (message) shows that the skin was cut and was implanted by a bullet.” He said: “The bullet was given superficially in the upper layer of the skin and the doctors confirmed that such an injury does not cause any medical complications.”
The police said the woman received employees of the district hospital and the quack from Sanjaynagar to put the bullet. Then she sang an area with a hot coin that mimics the powder burning from the bullet, NDTV informed.
Two of the accused were arrested and in custody. The possibility of involving more people cannot be excluded, the police said.

Why did the woman pretend?
NDTV quoted the police when she said that a woman admitted that she had previously blackmailed public representatives and his son. The case was in court and soon expected a judgment. To prevent this, she came up with this plan.
Police Bareilly said that in 2022 a woman raised similar accusations against three unknowns. “When the police were investigating the incident, it was also found to be a false case registered by a woman,” the police said.
They added that the report was sent to a court looking for an action against the plaintiff under section 182/211 IPC.

The police said the woman hatched “plot to save himself”.
She met with one Rohtash, a district hospital department and hatched a plan to grow a bullet into her body.
“Rohtash gave her one bullet and two empty cassettes and told her a way to plant a bullet in her body,” the police said.
They added: “The woman met two to three doctors who refused to plant a bullet but one doctor Sharafat Khan, accused £2500 and implanted a bullet into a female body. ”
“The woman took advantage of it and filed a complaint on 29.03.2025 (29th March) by informing that she was raped and shot by five unknowns,” the police said.
