The unemployment rate in the country, measured in the monthly period, increased to 5.6% in May from 5.1% in April this year due to seasonal changes, showed government data published on Monday (June 16, 2025).
At the beginning of last month, the Ministry of Statistics and the implementation of the program issued the first monthly survey of regular workforce (PLF) in the effort to monitor the share of unemployed people among those who cause jobs in the country in real time.
The latest data collected in the current weekly state (CWS) showed that the unemployment rate (ur) for persons of all age groups in May 2025 increased to 5.6% of 5.1% in April 2025.
The unemployment rate among women was higher 5.8% compared to 5.6% for men at Earth level in May 2025.
The misunderstanding among those in the age group 15-29 increased to 15% in May from 13.8% in April 2025 throughout the country.
The unemployment rate in urban areas increased to 17.9% in May from 17.2% in April, while in the month, which was in rural areas in the previous month, it was 13.7%.

The workforce survey has so far been published quarterly and annually.
The Ministry explained that changes are expected in the monthly PLF conditions due to increased frequency and seasonal changes, but do not necessarily reflect secular trends.
