The unemployment rate in rural areas increased from 2.4% to 2.5%, while in urban areas it fell from 5.2% to 5%.
Women’s unemployment rate in urban areas fell from 7.5% to 6.7%, while in rural areas it increased from 1.9% to 2.1%.

In 2023, the rate of work forces (LFPR), which includes men and women in rural and urban areas, recorded a marginal decline in 2023 in 2024.
The female LFPR decreased from 41.3% to 40.3%, while the male LFRP increased from 78.3% to 79.2% during the reported period.
The survey is based on workforce indicators using the usual status that combines the statuses of the main and subsidiaries.
The main status of the person is based on the activities they spent most of the time last year preceding the survey, while any other economic activity carried out for 30 or more days this year is calculated as their subsidiary.
PLF included 12,749 units of the first phase or FSU (6,982 villages and 5,767 urban blocks), with a survey of 101 957 households and 415 549 individuals.

Meanwhile, according to a survey of the current weekly state (CWS) in 2024 in 2023, the unemployment rate reduced to 4.9%, indicating a slight improvement in the conditions of employment throughout the country. This CWS rate is determined on the basis of a reference period for the last seven days before the survey date.
As part of the CWS survey, the unemployment rate in rural areas in 2024 decreased to 4.3% of 4.3% a year earlier, while the marginal decrease was observed in both men and women. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate of urban unemployment remained stable at 6.7%.
The misunderstanding between city men slightly increased to 6.1% of 6% in the above period. The level for women dropped significantly to 8.2% of 8.9%, which increased in men.
The improvement was observed in all categories, especially in the ratio of city workers (WPR) from 47% to 47.6%, between 2023 and 2024, while the Celoiz remained largely unchanged (53.4% to 53.5%) during the same period.
“It seems that the decline in infertile helpers in domestic businesses has contributed to a decrease in WPR and LFPR among rural women, because the percentage of household assistants decreased from 19.9% to 18.1% from 2023 to 2024,” the survey said.
