Lack of employees in the medical department, financial burden due to high costs of medical treatment, problems facing accredited activists and nurses were emphasized at an interactive event organized by a healthcare panel.
SS LAL, a public health expert and the chairman of the panel, said similar events were previously held in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. The panel will draw up proposals to receive a report to be submitted to the medical department until next year. People from different areas of life, including healthcare professionals, shared their views. Some participants also emphasized the need to solve problems in the mental health sector.
