The KN Phaneendra pantalucta inspected the functioning of the water treatment plant and the unit for the management of solid waste in Rayanakere on Thursday and called for its replication in other Karnataka districts.
He expressed satisfaction about the equipment and its functioning and appreciated its maintenance and stated that the government would be submitted to the establishment of similar water treatment plants and units of solid waste in other cities and districts.
Mr. Phaneendra was familiar with water treatment plant, which processes waste water for a safe discharge to nearby lakes.
While he noticed that the plant was well maintained, he emphasized the need to take preventive measures to avoid inconvenience to close residents. He visited the gas station and was looking for detailed information from officials, stressed that it was important to ensure that the water treated was not of any health or environmental risks.
In the adjacent fixed waste management facility operated by MYSURU City Corporation, the liner observed the segregation and disposal processes for dry and wet waste. He stated that it was impressed with its effectiveness, said that the government would be submitted to the government recommending the construction of similar units for the processing of solid waste in Bengalur and other districts using the Mysuru model as a scale.
Officials were instructed to assess the impact on the public within a circle of 5-10 km around units of waste management to ensure that the inhabitants in the nearby area were not affected.
The Ubalokayukta also ordered the local authorities to start steps against the illegal layout of housing and unauthorized construction near the facility, clear vegetation in the race and ensured the safety of workers.
Mr. Phaneendra also suggested that he was working for employees working in plants by waste management, and ordered a monthly medical inspection to be provided for their safety and protection.
Commissioner for Mysuru City Corporation Shaikh Tanveer Asif, Karnataka State Control Control Rada UMA Shankar and others were present.
