The Turpu Kapu Association will hold constituency meetings across Srikakulam in July

Andhra Pradesh State Turpu Kapu Samkshema Sangham Honorary President and Markfed Director Anepu Ramakrishna Naidu said on Wednesday (June 24, 2026) that the association will hold a constituency level meeting in July 2026 in all segments of Srikakulam united district to discuss the political injustice meted out to the wetroden and chalk action community.
He said that an exclusive building would be constructed for the community in Srikakulam within a year.
As many as 35 Kapu leaders of Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena Party, BJP, YSR Congress Partyand the Congress held a high-level meeting in Srikakulam on Tuesday evening. Jana Sena Party Srikakulam Parliament Speaker and Srikakulam Urban Development Authority Chairman Korikana Ravikumar attended as the chief guest.
Revealing the details and resolutions of the meeting, Mr. Ramakrishna Naidu said that the association will request all political parties to provide at least four assembly seats to the community as it has the highest population in the district. He said the community was confined only to the Patapatnam Assembly seat, though earlier it had a good representation in the Assembly and Parliament.
Mr. Ravikumar said that a higher and legitimate representation for the community is a must to protect the interests of the Turpu Kapu community and other backward classes.
Srikakulam District Cooperative Central Bank former chairman Dola Jaganmohana Rao and former official Surangi Mohana Rao said the association would look after the higher education needs of the youth and provide financial assistance to patients suffering from chronic diseases.
