
Police Bommanahalli arrested a 32 -year -old Tripura man for alleged education against Kannadigas and Karnataka, while talking to delivery manager under the influence of alcohol.
He was identified as Mithun Sarkar, an employee in the Massage Center and a resident of Bommanahalli in South Bengalur. According to investigators, he has lived in the city for the last ten years.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning after Sarkar ordered a shirt from the electronic trading platform. When the executive delivery worker could not find his address because of the confusion in the details, he called Sarkar several times to clarify.
“The delivery person called Sarkar twice or three times, but could not find the address. Sarkar was angry at repeated calls and misused the person delivered in one of the interviews,” police officer Hindu said.
The officer added that a executive worker recorded a call when Sarkar began using an offensive language.
“Sarkar reportedly said that if all non-channadigs left Karnataka, the locals would not have enough money to buy tomatoes,” the officer said. Reportedly, Kannadigas for eating “Mudde” (Ragi Balls), a basic local meal.
The sound clip was later presented by Karnataka Rakshan Vedike (blood), who demanded Sarkara’s immediate arrest.
The police registered companies against Sarkar according to sections 196 (support for hostility between different groups based on religion, race, place of birth, stay, language, etc.) and 352 (deliberate insult that causes breach of peace) BNS.
Sarah Fathiema, a representative of the police commissioner (southeast division), said Hindu that Sarkar was arrested on Friday.
