Hundreds of members of the tribal community on Saturday (June 28, 2025) protested in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture Shivraj Singh Chouhan and claimed that they were evicted for the proposed Sardar VallaBhbhai Patel of Sanctuary.
Mr. Chouhan, whose constituency Vidisha Lok Sabha includes Sehore, has come here to attend a meeting of the Coordination and Monitoring Committee of District Development.
Former Chief Minister Madhya Pradesh accused the state forest ministry of sending the image of the government, and assured the protesters to discuss the problem with the main Minister Mohan Yadav.
Demolition
The forest department recently demolished more than 50 houses of the members of the tribal community in the Sanctuary of Khivni in the Dewas district and described them as an intervention.
The local tribal community claimed to have been evicted from their country for Sardar VallaBhbhai Patel Sanctuary.
Hundreds of demonstrators gathered here in the collector’s office and submitted a memorandum on the requirements to Mr. Chouhan.
“The crisis brothers and sisters came up with me. They told their problems. Our main Minister Mohan Yadav is for the poor and pro-tribaly …. There was talk of the foundation of the shrine where their villages were and moved,” Mr. Chouhan told reporters.
The Minister of the Union, who addressed the protesters, said, “No one can grab the country of tribes.
“Mama” is with tribes, “said Mr. Chouhan, who is kindly called” mama-ji “.
“What the forest department does … is an attempt to scratch the image of the government … They should not do it,” he said.
