If you are a resident of the western suburbs and are headed to Bengaluru and beyond, the 92 km stretch of Chittoor – Thatchur National Highway has now been opened for vehicular traffic on a trial basis.
A six-lane controlled access road can connect from Uthukottai to SH 50, which connects Uthukottai and Tiruvallur. The other end of the road joins the Chennai – Bengaluru NH at Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. By August, the corridor will connect to the new Bengaluru – Chennai Expressway.
