Major Minister Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday (April 28, 2025) that the ambitious project of bullets connecting Mumbai with Ahmedabad could be completed by the end of 2028.
“Work on bullets are going on quickly. Hopefully it will be completed by the end of 2028,” Mr. Fadnavis told reporters.
He accused the government of Maha Vikas Aghadi for delay. CM said that the government led by UDDHAV Thackeray decided to stop the project.
“For this reason, the project was delayed by 2.5 years. If we invest 70,000 to 80,000 crore for trains and stop the work for 2.5 years, who will have to bear the cost of interest,” he said.

On the other hand, work on the Gujarat train was done quickly.
“After the new government came to power, we did the necessary approval and the work began quickly. In the last two and a half years, the work is going on quickly and we are trying to complete the work in the necessary timeline,” said Mr. Fadnavis.
