All hopes that the 53 -day agitation of accredited accredited social health activists (ASAAS), who are looking for better reward, will be resolved, was interrupted again, when the third round of interviews between Minister of Health, striking Ash and Thursday remained opaque.
While Minister of Health Veen George said that the discussion is “constructive”, representatives of Ashas who participated in interviews, said the government had no new solutions that could offer to solve the patter and that their demand for a nominal increase in the royalties was excluded.
It wasn’t before the broken news, Ashas sitting in the disruption before the secretariat on the protest and shouted the slogans. They moved to the center of MG Road and organized a sit-in, after which the traffic was disturbed for a while.
Given that all trade unions show too much interest in solving agitation and decide to participate in discussions, it was expected that some friendly settlement would occur.
With the representatives of the Association of Healthcare Workers ASHA (Kahwa), which leads agitation, it keeps firmly at their request to announce an increase in a fee and, like pension benefits for leaving Ashas, categorically declared that it could not be done at this intersection if the government was primary.
Mrs. George submitted a proposal to establish a committee to study ASHA questions and that requirements such as a trip in honorary and pension benefits will be included in the Committee’s reference conditions. She stated that the committee would be asked to submit a message within three months to propose further discussions.
While all the trade unions – intuc, emotion and stu – agreed, Kahwa was not willing for this settlement.
“We disagreed because it was not all the years on the recommendation of the committee that the government set out on fees. It is only a delayed tactics and strategy of disruption of the momentum of strike,” said Vice President Kahwa S. Mini.
“Then we suggested that if we had to wait for the committee report, the government would give Ashas at least a temporary hike of 3,000 GBP to be temporarily dismissed.
State President Kahwa VK Sadanandan said that the government did not show at least mercy or even humane consideration to hundreds of women who had upset the street all the time and harassed all the elements in the hope that the government would not give up.
While other interviews were not excluded, neither Ashas nor the government did not clarify whether and when this would happen
