The aggressive campaign of the opposition in Bihar against the ongoing special intensive revision (Sir) of election roles should not be considered as their political agenda, but the speech of the past chased them. The party lost the opponent with thin margins – one of them only 12 votes – on several chairs in the elections to the assembly of 2020.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and former Deputy Chief Minister Bihar Tejashwi Yadav recently said that the results of approximately 35 chairs could be affected in the upcoming elections if only 1% of voters were removed from the cylinders. The state assembly has 243 seats.
According to Mr. Yadava, 1% of voters would mean the removal of 7.9 voters of the Lakhs from powerful voters 7.9 crore in the state. The party claims that this would result in approximately 3,251 voters to be disgraced in each constituency.
According to Democratic Reforms Association (ADR), the winning margin was below 1% or less than 3,000 votes for 35 seats in the elections by 2020. It was less than 5,000 votes for 52 chairs.
In three seats, the margin was less than 200 votes, and in four it was less than 500 votes. On four seats, the victory boundary was less than 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 3,000 and 3,500 votes. Similarly, on five installation seats, margins were less than 2,500 votes.
According to the analysis published by Hindu 17 November 2020, a week after the results were announced, the NDA received 21 seats with a range of less than 2.5% of votes and the opposition received 22 such seats.
