Demonstrators around the world are about to participate in the “Global Day of Tesla Takedown’s Global den of Action” on Saturday. The aim of the protests is trying to gather against the CEO Tesla Elon Musk, which the organizers blame for “shredding public services”.
According to the movement’s website, demonstrations are planned in more than 200 Tesla throughout the US. The organizers called on the participants to “sell their teslas, threw their supplies and join the patrol line.”
The message and the goals of movement
The protest group framed their mission as an urgent struggle against Elon Musk’s influence. The organization’s website states:
“On March 29, 2025, we demand a global day of action to stop Musk! Join us! Elon Musk destroys our democracy and uses the assets he built in Tesla to do it. We take steps in Tesla to stop Musk’s illegal coup.”
The movement explicitly stated that his actions would be peaceful and legal and emphasize that “Tesla stops is a peaceful protest. Subsequently, we are against violence, vandalism and the destruction of property.
Muska role in government and public resistance
Protests come in the middle of increasing dissatisfaction over the role of Muska as the head of the government (DOGE), which is a position that it took as part of President Donald Trump’s administration. His aggressive measures for reducing costs have triggered controversy and critics blame him for undermining public services.
Since Musk took over his government role, Tesla retailers and charging stations have been frequent goals of protests and vandalism. The Tesla stock price has failed as the opposition amplifies in the last month.
Government’s reaction and legal consequences
The General Prosecutor Pam Bondi condemned vandalism against Tesla real estate and called it “domestic terrorism”. In her statement this week confirmed the support of the administration of Muska and undertook to take steps against the responsible.
President Donald Trump proposed harsh punishments for those who participated in attacks on Tesla’s property on Friday. Trump, who wrote on the Social Truth, said: “I look forward to seeing how sick terrorist criminals get 20 years prison for what Elon Musek and Tesla are doing. They might serve them in Salvador prisons that recently became famous for such beautiful conditions!”
Notes emphasize the firm support of the Muska administration. While some come from him as an innovator and economic leader, others consider him an unleashed billionaire who controls excessive influence on public policy.
