The TELANGANA fire, the reaction to disasters, emergency and civil defense closed the Firefighting Service Week 2025 on Sunday 2025 on Sunday, April 20 with 5K awareness of 5K in HMDA Grounds, adjacent to Prasad IMAX in Hyderabad. Running meant the culmination of the weekly series of events aimed at raising public awareness of fire safety and emergency readiness.
This year’s fire services took place every year from 14 to April 20 and held under the national theme “Unite to Ignite: Fire Safe India”. In Telangana, the campaign represented extensive field activities, including demonstrations, fire exercises, training and educational lectures performed in various types of premises, from hospitals and industries to residential colonies and commercial facilities.
The campaign began with a cut -out of the curtain 13th April, when the district firefighters in all 33 districts in the state launched posters of fire services in the presence of district collectors, superintendants of police, municipal commissioners and other higher officials. Formal compliance began on April 14th at the Hyderabad State Training School, where the CEO of Y. Nagi Reddy paid tribute to the martyrs and reviewed the commemorative show. On this occasion, higher officers were present, including Deputy Director of B. Sudhakar Rao and district firefighter officer GV Narayan Rao.
When dealing with the assembly, Mr. Reddy stressed the need for fire safety awareness into every household, workplace and public facility. He ordered all district officers to carry out the Ministry’s action plan to improve public engagement and fire prevention.
On the last day, 5K joined employees and volunteers in a symbolic show of solidarity and a public commitment to fire safety. According to data published by the Ministry, weekly events recorded participation from 64,746 members of the public, while the highest one -day attendance was recorded on April 19 at 14,500.
The CEO has expanded its recognition to the press, electronic and digital media for their role in the intensification of the message of the department and support the success of the campaign.
