As recent Information Law (RTI) The answer revealed that in 2013, the ADI Dravidar and Handy Good Life conditions, which will train about 50 tribal students every year for competing exams such as IIT Jee and Aieee, dropped in the same year.
“Although sporadic successes of tribal students and planned caste entering technical and health institutions are celebrated by the media and teachers, the exclusive government platform created to extend the constant support of their university education should be restored to increase their participation,” S. Karthik, social activist based in Madurai.
The RTI activist suggests TN Govt. You want to change, give special resources to the school ADI DRAVIDAR
Mr. Karthik pointed to a government order published on October 15, 2013 and said that GO allowed 50 tribal students to train for two years in private coaching centers at the price of 2 lakh per student.
Although such such training has already been offered to planned caste students through Tamil Nadu ADI Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation, GO has pointed out that for similar training for tribal students, Tamil Nadu could be interconnected in the tender.
“Since training would include students studying in class XI and XII, a total of 2 lakhs would be assigned to each of 50 students for two years of training,” he added.
He said that although exercise would mean a demanding process of persuading students from rural areas and hilly terrains to sign up for training, GO recalled that it was the duty of the government to democratize opportunities available to only a few parts of society.
“Although dispersed achievements could be credited by government measures, the compulsory consolidation of efforts to improve SC and tribal students were compulsory to the best institutions such as IIT and Thread,” he said.
“Given that the initiative was praised for its efforts to change in the field of higher education in the state, the same year was disappointing,” he said.
“To learn about the need to include all students of the company in running for perfection, the government of Tamil Nadu should restore the program at least from the current academic year,” he demanded.
