The suspicious death of Hyderabad-based writer and YouTuber Boggula Srinivas in Kusumanchi mandal on February 14, initially believed to be a road accident, has now been revealed as a supari killing following the arrest of a friend-turned-enemy and three hired assailants.
Srinivas, 49, who originally hailed from Nandyal district in Andhra Pradesh, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a car in Palair tank in Kusumanchi mandal more than a week ago.
A detailed investigation by the local police revealed the bloody murder of Srinivas over a financial dispute.
The police arrested the main accused Mekala Venumadhav Reddy, a Hyderabad-based infrastructure project subcontractor, and three other accused – Pokala Venkateshwara Rao, Sk. Abdul Hafeez and Mohammad Azmath Ali of Aswaraopet.
According to the police, Srinivas and Venumadhav Reddy were involved in a financial dispute related to the “GST scam”.
The prime accused allegedly hired three supari (contract) killers to murder Srinivas before dumping his body with the car in the Palair reservoir to project it as a road accident death.
All four accused ended up in judicial custody. Further investigation is underway.
