Most teachers who abstained from data collection in social and educational survey returned to their duties in the Belagavi and Bagalkot districts on Friday.
This is followed by an order of the High Court, which observes the state government’s decision to conduct a survey and efforts of officials at the level of the district on the exemption of those employees who are ill or disabled, said sources.
In Belagavi, the CEO of Zilla Panchayat Rahul Shindhe visited some of the houses in which the list was performed.
He said that the pace of the list rose and that officials are convinced that the survey will complete in time.
Exercise is coordinated by officers of the joints of social care, education, income and rural development and the department of Panchayat Raj.
Meanwhile, the state government explained that participation in the survey was voluntary. The survey is underway by the State Commission of Karnataka for Back Classes.
“Although the survey assumes that it will cover the entire population of the state, it is clear that citizens/household participation is voluntary and their party does not need to be published,” the Commission Minister said in the issue.
