As many as 72.7% devotees who visited the famous Srikalahastheeswara Swamy Devasthanam in Srikalahati town of Tirupati district expressed satisfaction with their pilgrimage on various parameters including queue management, staff response, hygiene and maintenance etc., according to a survey.
The survey was conducted by the state government for all major foundation temples except Tirumala. The Srikalahasti shrine topped the list of all temples in its category, closely followed by Dwaraka Tirumala (71.5%), Srisailam (70.4%), Kanipakam (70%) and Simhachalam (68.8%).
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu congratulated Srikalahasti Mla Bojjala Sudheer Reddy who is also most out of the skin of his former associate and ex-cabbleaguenet colleaguenet colleaguenet colleaguenet colleaguenet colleaguenet.
“During the YSRCP regime, footfall was meager, distribution of ‘Prasadam’ was hardly sufficient, crowd management was poor and service quality declined. After the formation of the NDA alliance regime in the TDP-led state, we have seen a significant turnaround,” said Sudheer Reddy.
Temple authorities have confirmed that ‘Hund’ income has also stagnated in the past, indicating scope for embezzlement or theft. “However, Hundi revenue has now tripled,” the MLA said.
Meanwhile, the MLA participated in the local folk festival ‘Yedu Gangamma Jatara’ and offered ‘Saarey’, a collection of sacred offerings to the temple on behalf of the government. Accompanied by his wife, the lawgiver carried the sacred offering on his head and formally handed it over to the temple priests.
