On Monday, the Supreme Court announced that it would not entertain a petition in the field of public interest (Pil) asking for contempt for court proceedings against Bharatiya Janat (BJP) MPs Nishikant Dubey for his comments focused on the top court and the main judge of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna.
However, the bench, which consists of Cji Sanjiv Khanna and the Justice PV Sanjay Kumar, explained that it would issue a justified order on this matter.

The Supreme Court comments came in response to the plaintiff Vishal Tiwari and demanded contempt for court proceedings against Nishikant Dubey. He claimed that BJP MP interview was full of derogatory speech towards the judiciary and the Supreme Court.
“The dignity of the institution must be protected. It cannot be left unadressed. Previously, the court acknowledged in the case of court services in Delhi,” the petitioner Vishal Tiwari argued.
