On Monday (11 August 2025), the Supreme Court noted that unfavorable notes of the court against former Minister Tamil Nadu Senthilbalaji in his order September 2022, which restored the case of cash for “fraud”, will not affect his ongoing court proceedings.
But the bench of Justices Surya Kant and Joymalya Bagchi did not throw these remarks.
The bench also stopped the petitioner’s step to turn to the top court against the order 2022 after retirement of the judges who issued it.
“This practice of submitting an application after judges who approved an order or judgment are as bad as buying the forum. These applications can only be rejected for this reason,” Judge Kant said orally.
The reasons for the former minister included one to exclude the notes that allow the enforcement directorate to investigate it and the other who renewed the court against it. Another dealt with an order that refused to cancel the bail in case of money washing.
The leader of the advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan, who represents one of the victims in this case, said that there were five highest accused of the Minister of Forrmers and his close helpers, except for 25 officials and the rest of the other accused.
The Supreme Court stated that it would listen to a lawsuit for a demanding club of 13 August.
