The Supreme Court in India 12 said September that the ban on flip flops cannot only be used for certain cities and citizens, but according to the Bar & Bench report must have an application for Pan-India.

The application was submitted by the Association of Fireworks, Indic Collective and Haryan Firework manufacturers, which challenged an annual ban on the sale and production of flip flops in the Delhi-NCR region. According to the report, they quoted the loss of the livelihood of those dependent on industry.
“Five Lakzy families depend on this trade. It is necessary to find out in some way. I understand that there are concerns about pollution between October and February, but a total ban on production, trading and sales has a serious impact,” said lawyer to Parameshware.

“We cannot only have politics for Delhi because they are the elite citizens of the country. I was in Amritsar last winter and pollution was worse than in Delhi. If the flip -flops are to be forbidden, they should be banned throughout the country,” Gavai said.
“Just because Delhi is the capital city and the Supreme Court is located here, should citizens in other cities get air without pollution?” he asked.
The bench further noted that “when we impose a ban on workers, they are left out of work. It’s the poor who suffer.”
What steps did SC take?
The Court ordered state authorities to maintain the status quo and publish a matter for hearing 22 September. He also ordered another general legal representative to search for the Air Quality Commission (CAQM) on this matter, B&B informed.
