On Monday, the Supreme Court refused to overturn the decision of the High Court in Delhi, which was confirmed by the release of actor Jacqueline Fernandez’s action to set aside Ecir (equivalent to the company) VA £200 crore money laundering including alleged Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, PTI press agency reported.
“We will not intervene at this stage,” said the Justices Dipankar Datta and Augustine George Masih, Mukul Rohatgi, who represented Fernandez.
Fernandez moved SC by the contested order of the High Court in the Delhi, which rejected its proposal to cancel the report on the information on the recovery case (ECIR) in the event of money washing.
The actor is accused of washing money filed against Chandrasekhar and appeared before the headquarters of the right to interrogate in the investigation.
Police in Delhi accused Chandrasekhar of alleged cheating on the spouses of former ranbaxa promoters, Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh, of which £200 crore, PTI said.
The High Court in Deli rejected the claims of Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez that the Directorate for enforcement (ED) accepted the “selection and selection” policy by not making similar accusations against other actors, including Nikki Tamboli, Chahatt Khann and Sophia Singh.
She claimed that the investigation agency could not follow the Money Wash Act (PMLA) against these individuals who also received gifts and articles from Chandrasekhar.
In his 95-page HC judgment, he stressed that the principle of parity-thinking of similar cases-is relevant in bail applications, but cannot be used when he tries to cancel the accusation, as this would completely abolish Ecir against the petitioner. The judgment stated: “Whether the investigation agency has chosen and chosen or choose or decided not to proceed against others, on the basis of the case, not submitted to this court; the petitioner is always freedom to arouse this problem in the appropriate phase.” ”
The court also stated: “The petition and the petitioner’s reason cannot be entertained for the cancellation of Ecir of 8 August 2021 and 2. An additional complaint of 17 August 2022. The petition is therefore dismissed.”
In her plea, Fernandez claimed that other actors also met Chandrasekhar inside Tihar prison, where he was held and received gifts from him.
Specifically, she claimed that the relative of actor Nora Fatehi got a luxury car. The reason he claimed that despite these individuals who have “first -hand knowledge that the Sukesh Chandrasekhar is in prison,” ED did not name them as accused. This “heterogeneous treatment” said that the request was another key reason for the effort to abolish ECIR.
