On Wednesday (July 2, 2025), the Supreme Court ordered Andra Pradesh to present his investigative report on alleged illegal fraud in the closed cover, including former leader Gannavaram MLA and Congress leader Vallabhanei Vamsi Mohan.
The direction was issued by a bench led by Judge MM Sundresh, while he listened to a petition submitted by a state that challenged the 29th May order Andr Pradesh, who, in connection with the case, awarded Mohan a predicted bail.

The bench agreed to listen to the petition of the State 17th July. The leader of the advocate Siddharth Luthr, who appeared for the state, said that the government had not been given a proper opportunity to present his case. He said that Mr. Mohan was “king” “fraud with painting painter” and that his interrogation of his ties is necessary, and quoted the accusation of threatening witnesses.
When the justice Sundresh noted that the complaint had appeared “Nerebon” and lacked material data, Mr. Lutra replied that the investigation report prepared by the state alert and enforcement departments was exhausting. The bench then ordered the state to record a message in a sealed cover.

According to the state petition, fraud was to reveal illegal mining by a comprehensive investigation by separation and recovery. Illegal activities were allegedly held between 2019 and 2024 across Gannavaram, Bapulapad and Vijayawad by rural mandals.
The state argued that Muhan had abused his office and conspired his colleagues during his time to organize a sophisticated missile involving fraudulent contracts and abuse of temporary mining of permission.
The petition claimed that the mining permit was obtained using counterfeit documents, including Mr. and Aadhaar’s details of unsuspecting civilians who mistakenly submit their evidence of identity under the pretext of registration in the governmental social care programs.
Furthermore, they were allegedly familiar with legal procedures to extract gravel and stone building, while the complaints of the local police and income bodies were suppressed for the political influence of Mr. Mohan.
“The overall incorrect loss of a public treasurer due to these fraudulent mining activities was calculated on CRORE 195.04 GBP,” the state petition noted.
