India’s Supreme Court on Thursday (April 30, 2026) ordered NGO Kuki, a human rights organization, to hand over a “first generation copy” of the full leaked audio tapes that allegedly implicated former Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh in organizing or inciting ethnic violence in the state during 20423 for national conflict.
Forensic reports have so far come back inconclusive about the authenticity of the recordings.
