
A special court of rapid monitoring (POŠSO) sentenced a man here for 55 years of strict imprisonment (RI) for sexual abuse of his smaller stepdaural and forced her to sell narcotics.
The defendant from Thiruvananthapuram was also fined 40,000 GBP. The impression of a fine would mean another two years and four months of imprisonment, according to an order issued by a special judge Anju Meer Birl.

The incidents concerning the case occurred in 2019–2020, when the victim was in class VII. A man who is also charged in the case of murder sexually attacked the girl while the family lived in Tamil Nadu. When the girl protested, he threatened her. She also forced her and sell her mother anesthesia.
When the victim tried to contact her biological father and brother by telephone, the accused brutally defeated her. Even after the family returned to Thiruvananthapuram, abuse continued. Subsequently, the girl informed her relatives who warned the Police Poojappura.
The Court of Justice condemned the accused according to several numbers according to different parts of the POCSO and IPC law. The sentences of imprisonment would take place in parallel. The amount collected as a fine will be paid as a replacement to the survivor, the order said.
