
The state government has created a detailed action plan to deal with waste management in Thiruvananthapuram.
The decision was taken at a high -level meeting chaired by the Minister of Local Self -Government (LSG) MB Rajesh in the presence of Mayor Thiruvananthapuram Ary Rajendran and other LSGD officials. The special secretary of the local government of TV Anupama will be responsible for implementing the Action Plan. The progress of the action plan will be evaluated every week under the guidance of a special secretary. Mr Rajesh said that within four months a permanent solution for problems with waste management in capital will be found.
In cooperation with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), compressed biogas (CBG) will be set up. This race will be completed by a year and a half. The capacity of the existing fast transfer system will be increased to 50 tonnes to allow faster Biowaste. The modern slaughterhouse in Kunnukuzha will be inaugurated by the end of the month. A special plan will be formulated and implemented for proper collection and destroying poultry.
Detailed investigation
A detailed investigation into the forward links of private agencies collecting organic waste will be carried out. The Taritawa municipality and missions will jointly examine whether waste is illegally collected and whether there are systems for the management of the collected waste.
The Minister also ordered the strengthening of coercive activities against storage. The management of the prosecution will be launched against those who have not yet paid fines imposed for waste deposition. The Minister also ordered to take strict steps against those who are accused of more serious crimes in cooperation with the police.
Sufficient equipment for collecting container materials (MCF) will be set up as a primary storage system for non -actable waste. 20 MCF containers were currently established. A detailed transport plan will be prepared for the transport of the collected non-biological waste. Within three weeks, 100 E-Autos will be made available for this purpose. Harithakarmy hay volunteers will also be trained to manage these e-authos. Four large indoor vehicles will soon be prepared.
Mass waste generators
The meeting also decided to prepare detailed instructions for collecting waste generators. The arrangement will be accepted for the collection of waste daily from institutions that create a large amount of not biologically distinguished waste. The announcements will be immediately issued to large institutions, giving them instructions to hand over the waste to the agency designated by the company.
The Minister also ordered to take steps to cancel the licenses of institutions that do not properly pass the waste. It has been decided that Harithakarma hay will continue to collect waste from institutions that must only collect and remove waste once a week (small institutions).
