
Senior IPS Officer PV Sunil Kumar
The state government has extended the suspension of IPS leader and former CID PV chief Sunil Kumar another six months after the recommendation of the Review Commission.
The Committee noted that the abolition of suspension at this stage could allow it to manipulate evidence or affect the ongoing investigation.
Mr. Sunil Kumar was originally suspended of unauthorized foreign visits and deviations from the approved travel plans of 1993 from approved travel plans. He also faces charges of torture of former MP K. Raghu Ramakrishny Raju, for which the case of Nagarampalem Police was registered in the Guntur district.
Its suspension has now been extended according to Rule 3 (8) (a). (D) the rules of the All India Services (discipline and appeal) of 1969 for 180 days – within 24 February 2026 or to other commands. The CEO of the police was instructed to take the necessary steps.
