The state government brought the final order to obtain land for the Sabarimala Greenfield airport project according to the land acquisition Act, rehabilitation and relocation (Larr), 2013.
The order issued by Sheeba George is another secretary (income) in accordance with the provisions of the subsection (1) of Section 11 of the Larr Act and states that for the Erumeli South and Manimala project it lists a total of 1,001,873 hectares. This includes 2,263-Acro-chervally property, which is currently under holding charity trust and land of Ayana, which is located outside the estate.
Individuals involved in the soil acquisition process are recommended to increase any complaints about the update of land records or titles in relation to the land proposed for the acquisition within 15 days. Objections concerning the area and suitability of the soil designed for acquisition, justification for public purposes and finding a report on the assessment of social impacts should be submitted within 60 days.
“Any objection or statement that is accepted after the due date and which does not clearly explain how interest in the land can be rejected in summary,” reads the command.
The new order was issued after considering the report on the assessment of social impacts, the recommendations of the expert committee based on the SIA report and the report of the district collector. In the district collector report, the land stated that the land would be obtained under Section 7 (5) of the Larr Act.
This is the second time the state government is undergoing a land acquisition process, because the previous announcement for both SIA and land acquisition was canceled by the government after the objections of charity confidence in Ayana (formerly the Gospel for Asia) and the locals. In court, they attacked the legitimacy of the initial SIA study, which was carried out by the Center for the Development of Proceedings, with an citation of the interconnection of the organization with the Ministry of State Industry.
In the next step, the government will launch an official soil survey according to Section 12 and prepare a set of exact extent of land to be obtained with the numbers of the survey. This will be followed by the announcement of the rehabilitation package and relocation (RR), as stated in Section 19 (1) of the Larr Act.
Stupi Consultants LTD, appointed by Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), is in the process of preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for the project. Once the DPR is completed and submitted by the KSIDC, it will be handed over to the Ministry of Civil Aviation of the Union for further review.
