
Minister of Health Satya Kumar Yadav on Saturday (April 19) was inaugurated by the State Institute for Cancer in Kurnool at the Government General Hospital.
The Minister together with the Minister for Industry and TG Bharath also inaugurated the liner oxinator, CT simulator, operational theater complex and medical oncology departments in the hospital. Mr. Satya Kumar said the hospital for patients with cancer “Sanjeevani” (Life Line). He said the center sanctioned the hospital for the comfort of patients with Rayalaseem cancer so that people do not have to go to distant places to treat.
He said that the basis for a 200 -bed hospital, planned to cooperate with the state for 120 GBP Crore, was laid in 2019, but the YSRCP government failed to build it during its five -year period, he said. “The NDA government has built a hospital with modern facilities. We also strengthened surgical, medical, radiological and oncological wings of the hospital,” he said. Mr. Satya Kumar said that all basic equipment was provided in the hospital and the required physicians and medical staff will also be accepted soon.
Later, Mr. Satya Kumar and Mr. Bharath organized a meeting with higher doctors in a government general hospital. The doctors told the minister that they ensure that employees’ crisis would not affect medical services to patients. The doctors told the Minister that they even started transplantation of the heart in the hospital and even prepared a plan to provide drinking water to patients and their operators.
Officials said the block of criticism that is in the construction phase will soon be functional. They also said that the Adoni Medical College will also be functional from next year.
