
The sixth edition of Kochi-Muziris (KMB), organized by Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF), will be called “for now”.
The artist Nikhil Chopra with artistic premises HH Art Spaces, an organization led by Goa, will run for 110 days, from 12 December 2025, to 31 March 2026.
Curative
KBF also announced the curative framework for KMB ’25. Along with the International Exhibition, Biennale will present a diverse program of interviews, performances, workshops and film projections that develop in various places in Kochi. Verticals of key programs include students’ biennial, invitations, art of children, residential program and collateral.
The curatorial note Nikhil Chopra states that the sixth edition of KMB will accept the process as a methodology and position of “friendship” as the scaffolding of the exhibition.
The sixth edition goes from the conventional biennial of the singular central exhibition event and is assumed as a living ecosystem “One where each element shares space, time and resources and grows in dialogue,” said the edition.
KBF chairman V. Ven said that the Biennial, during its previous editions, was constantly increasing in the character and attracted works of art from famous and emerging talents from India and abroad.
“The organization of such events needs careful planning and strategies. We have introduced important organizational changes in the Kochi Biennale Foundation and we are sure that we have made a great success in the sixth issue.
Bose Krishnamachari, President of the Kochi-Muziris Biennial, said Nikhil Chopry’s emphasis on the duoic exhibitions and the performance will be the highlight of the sixth edition. “Those who visit the biennial will be introduced in the absorbing atmosphere where spectacular works of art and installations react to the place will also offer abundant opportunities to participate with artists and colleagues, and witness to Kochi’s layered cultural life.
