The shutdowns called by various ethnic organizations on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) severely affected normal life in 12 out of 16 districts of Manipur.
All five valley districts remained affected on the fourth day of a five-day shutdown called by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) to protest the April 7 Tronglaobi bomb attack in Bishnupur district, in which two children were killed.
