She spoke after the launch of the second phase of the government project to provide training for women in the technical departments in the cinema on Wednesday. She said the government is trying to increase the participation of women in areas where they are insufficiently represented.
The chairman of the Chalachitra State Chalachitra prem Kumar chaired the inauguration of the technical training program, which will take place from Wednesday to Sunday (2 to 6 April) in Gopinath Natanagramam in Thiruvananthapurama. The project is implemented in cooperation with Mission Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission and Kerala State Film Development Corporation. Women who are interested in working in the film industry were chosen in two phases based on specific criteria.
The Committee consisting of representatives of the Chalachitra Academy, the Knowledge Economy Mission mission and the Labor Commissioner selected those who have the required qualifications from the applicants for the first phase of the orientation camp. In September, up to 30 women participated in September.
Based on their performance in this camp, 13 participants selected from seven categories will be provided practical training in their relevant fields. During the training period, a fixed number of scholarships will be provided during the Chalachitra Academy. After training, professional film companies will open job opportunities.
