Science should be made available to Kannadigas in simple Kannada. Even today there are no literary works related to medical science in Kannada. Therefore, young people should try to convey the idea of ​​science in Kannada to common people, said critic HS Raghavendra Rao.

He was speaking at the convocation ceremony of the second and third year Nrupatunga University in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

About 18 students were awarded gold medals and 700 undergraduate and 4,081 postgraduate students received degrees.

Honorary doctorates to six people

Karnataka Film Society president Jayamala Ramachandra, senior literary critic SG Siddaramaiah, water management expert K Jaiprakash, performing artist Srinivas G Kappanna, director general of police S Mariswamy (retired) and Bala Bhavan secretary Nischal BH received honorary doctorates.
