In the main breakthrough in the ongoing war of Russia-Ukraine, the Kremlin agreed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zlensky on Friday that negotiations between Moscow and Kiev should be broadcast.
According to Reuters, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin does not think that US President Donald Trump’s attitude to Ukraine means the end of interviews between Washington and Moscow. He referred to the recent US warning about possible secondary sanctions against the buyers of Russian exports.
This year, two rounds of interviews between Ukraine and Russia in Turkey brought an agreement on the exchange of prisoners and the remains of soldiers. However, no date for a new round of interviews has been set yet, and both sides remain far apart under the conditions of any ceasefire.
Green saying that interviews with Russia need “more momentum”
The President said on Friday that peace negotiations with Russia need “greater momentum” and that he asked the new Minister of National Security and Defense Rust Umerov to “intensify the bargaining track”.
“There are agreements from the second meeting in Istanbul,” he wrote Zelena about X. “This process needs more dynamics.”
Russia, which continues to grind the offensive along most of the Eastern Front, has repeatedly stated that it is ready for a new round of interviews, but did not threaten what Kyiv and its allies describe as their maximistic war targets.
The US President Trump, who has sharpened his tone against Russia in the middle of air strikes in Ukrainian cities in recent weeks, threatened harder sanctions against Russia at the beginning of this week, unless an agreement for a number of within 50 days was reached.
He added greenishly that he also added Umerova, who worked on Thursday’s Minister of Defense on arms agreements with Kiev allies.
Kyiv, which still relies on Western partners for more than half of its offer on the battlefield, hopes that a reduced home defense industry will help repel a larger and better armed Russian war machine.

“We have to fully implement every agreement with our partners on the supply of weapons,” he wrote Zelsky, “and also new special agreements on the establishment of common manufacturing and construction production facilities on the territories of partners.”
Macron and Zelena meet in The Hague
The President said he discussed the missile vans and funding for the DRONES interceptor to face Russian attacks with French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday.
“I would especially like to emphasize our pilot training agreement for Mirage Jets – France is ready to train other pilots using other aircraft,” he said Zlensky on X, adding that the leaders also coordinated further political steps.
The latest exchange between Zelena and Macron came when the European Union agreed with the 18th package of sanctions against Russia during the war in Ukraine, including measures aimed at solving other strikes into the Russian oil and energy industry.
Macron said the new sanction package was unprecedented. “It is necessary to remind you that the security, freedom and future of Europe are closely linked to the fate of Ukraine,” Macron wrote on X.
“In this respect, I welcome the adoption of the European Union this morning by an unprecedented new package of sanctions against Russia. Russian attacks must stop immediately,” he added.
