On Wednesday, Chief Minister Siddarahaiah described the caste system as the main source of inequality and discrimination in society and urged people from backward, oppressed and marginalized communities to accept education as a weapon to ensure the same rights and opportunities.
“The caste system is the main cause of inequality. For centuries, shuders have been denied education and opportunities. If they enjoyed equal access, society would not be as uneven. Therefore, reformists such as Buddha, Basavanna and Ambedkar emphasized the importance of education for the oppressed oppressed.
He addressed the mass gathering of organized Karnataka Pradesh Kububagonda Sangho and Krantivera Sangolli Rayanna Youth Organization in Sharanabasaveshware Jatan in Kalaburagag.
Mr. Siddaramaiah remembered his own efforts and said that most social care programs during his first term as the main minister and the warranty schemes of his current period focused on creating equal opportunities.
“The caste system is deeply rooted and the uproot is not so easy. The company stagnates for the caste system and prevents its progress. Basavan and Sharanas fought against the caste in the 12th century to Anubhava Mantapa, where all communities were given equal opportunities,” he said.
As regards the ongoing social and educational reconnaissance of the back -class, Mr. Siddaramaiah said the exercise is necessary for the design of suitable policies.
“In 2014, I ordered my first survey to assess the social and economic and educational status of backward communities. When the Kantharaj Commission submitted my message, I was no longer listed.
The main minister said that the Union government rejected the previous recommendations of the State for the districts of Bidar, Kalaburagi and Yadgir.
“Gondas is already listed as STS. Our recommendation to include Kurubas in Bidar, Kalaburagagi and Yadgir was rejected by the trade union government.
At the end of his speech, Mr. Siddaramaiah repeated his commitment to social justice. “I’ve always been doing politics for social justice. I’ll continue this fight, whether I stay in power. I’m looking for your lasting support for this matter,” he said.
Development of rural and Panchayat Raj, IT and BT Minister and Kalaburagagi, Priyank Kharge, Minister of Development of Byrathi Suresh, Chairman of the Council for the Development of the Kalyan Karnataka Ajay Singh and others were present.
