
Forest officials on Monday moved Leopard rescued from Adoni’s edges to Sri Venkatesware Zoological Park in Tirupati for better medical care.
Leopard was found near the Basannagutta forest area in Kosigi Mandal on Sunday evening (June 15) farmers who pointed out Adoni Range forest officials.
Forest officials said the leopard was growling in pain and did not move at the time they had reached the place. It was humiliated and moved to Adoni Forest. The bone was stuck in the leopard’s neck and was removed.
Officials said the Nagarjuna Sagar Tiger Reserve rescue team provided first aid and suggested that the wild cat move to the Tirupati zoo for better treatment. On the advice of the rescue team, Leopard was moved to the zoo.
On this occasion, forest officials asked people not to panic with the movement of leopards in human housing, and asked them to inform forest officials to see if they would notice any wild animals movement.
