On Sunday afternoon, the Tungabhadra dams increased the amount of water released into the river after a sharp increase in tributaries from dams Tunga and Bhadra, the Varada River and heavy rainfall in the dam.
On Sunday at 10 o’clock the water level in the tank was 1 624.76 ft (holding 75,709 TMCFT) against the full tank surface of 1,633,00 ft (full capacity of 105,788 TMCFT).
It is expected that the tide, which cost 90,000 cuses, increases to 1.40 lakh Cusecs due to 80,000 cusecs released from the Tung dam, 40,000 CUSECS from the Bhadra and 20,000 Cusecs from the Varada River.
Due to the increase in the tide, the DAM authorities were initiated by the release of water over the gates of spillway starting at 14:00 outflow of outflow, depending on the inflow, depending on the tributary pattern, between 90,000 CUSEC and 1.40 Lakh.
Tungabhadra officials issued caution to residents, farmers and local authorities along the Tungabhadra River to remain vigilant.
People residing in low -laid areas and people who dared near the banks of the river were asked to progress extreme caution and avoid the river wheels.
Last year, at the same date, the tank level was significantly higher at 1,631.68 ft (holding 100,523 TMCft of water) with influx and drain recorded at 1.03 Lakh Cusecs and 1.17 Lakh Cusecs.
Officials stated that the current edition is a preliminary step towards management of the expected increase in the influx.
The Tungabhadra Council Council Council confirmed that the release will be modified continuously on the basis of real -time data.
The public is required to adhere to local councils and to continue from the zones susceptible to the flood until the water levels are stabilized.
