Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai said on Tuesday (July 14) that the Ram Temple embezzlement episode is the biggest proof of failure of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, adding that when it comes to temple recognition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are always in the forefront; therefore they will be accused of this heinous crime and theft in the temple.
“I have sent a detailed letter to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh demanding an independent forensic and financial investigation into the matter, but no effective action has been seen so far. On the contrary, many government officials and political spokespeople seem to be more active in media accusations and diversionary tactics against the opposition than in answering basic questions.”
“The fact is that the Ram Temple embezzlement episode is the biggest proof of the failure of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, and when it comes to temple recognition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are always in the forefront; therefore, they will be accused of this heinous crime and theft at Raindu Temple,” said The Raindui Temple
Mr. Rai added that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya is the supreme symbol of faith, devotion and cultural consciousness of millions of Indians.
“The historic ceremony of building, inaugurating and consecrating the temple was completed by your hands and you and your government presented it to the nation as a great national achievement. At a time when serious questions are being raised about temple offerings, financial management and administrative practices, the people of the country naturally expect similar clarity, transparency and accountability. Along with taking credit for building the temple, they should take credit for building, inaugurating and consecrating the Shri Ram Temple It seems inappropriate for Janmabhoomi to remain silent on serious issues related to temple offerings, financial management and administrative system,” he said.
Eight accused have been arrested in the alleged Ram Temple donation embezzlement case. The accused have been sent to judicial custody till July 27.
