The Railways has called for approval for MMTS stops at Anandbagh and Loyola College

The Suburban Train and Bus Association, Malkajgiri, has urged the Railway Board and the Ministry of Railways to give early approval to the proposed MMTS stops at Anandbagh and Loyola College in Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway (SCR).

Zonal Railway Users Advisory Committee (ZRUCC) member Noor Ahmed Ali said the proposal for two stations has already been submitted to the Railway Board and appealed for its speedy clearance so that construction work can start without further delay.

The Anandbagh and Loyola College areas are densely populated and serve a large number of students, employees, defense personnel and daily commuters. Setting up MMTS stations at these locations would improve suburban rail connectivity, ease traffic congestion and encourage the use of eco-friendly public transport, he said.

The association said the proposed stations would benefit thousands of commuters every day and play a key role in strengthening Hyderabad’s suburban transport network. Highlighting the growing mobility demands of the city, he emphasized that the expansion of the MMTS network was necessary and urged the Railway Ministry to prioritize the two projects for the sake of the traveling public, a press release said.
