BSF staff published several videos on social media on Tuesday (June 10, 2025) that showed the train in an uncertain state. Railway officials said another special train was organized for Jawan’s journey.
Instantly suspension
In its statement, the Ministry of Railway said that the Minister of Railway Ashwini Vaishnaw took a serious remark about the incident involving the deployment of an “inappropriate/old train” for BSF staff, which became Kashmir of Tripura.
“In response to forfeiture, four officials from the Alipurduar division were placed under the immediate suspension,” he said.
The suspended officials include the Alipurduar coaching warehouse officers and three older engineers of the Alipurduar Division section.
“The Minister of Railway showed that the dignity and comfort of security forces have the highest priority and that such negligence will not be tolerated at any level,” he added.
Special train organized
A special train from Agartala is now arranged exclusively for BSF staff, with full attention for their comfort and honor, she said.
“The Ministry of Railway has also ordered a detailed investigation of the incident. All efforts are evolving to ensure that such outages do not appear in the future,” the statement said.
The BSF official said he had planned several stops on his way from Tripura to Kashmir. Jawans refused to get on the train after the poor train’s poor condition was marked.
“The railway authorities were informed that the BSF staff would not be able to take a train because it was not worthy of travel. They acknowledged the mistake and agreed to miss the next train,” BSF official said.
The Ministry of the Interior sanctioned the deployment of more than 52,000 staff of the central armed police forces (CAPF) for Amarnath Yatra, which begins 3 July. Up to 581 companies, each consisting of 90-100 employees, will be deployed for the safety of pilgrimage.
