The Queer clinic became functional in the general hospital in Ernacula. The Queer community now has access to a fully equipped laser treatment equipment at special rates, among other things. Laser treatment, which usually costs 1,000 GBP per session, will be available to the community for half the price.
“Over time, this will further reduce to 250 GBP. The density of the transgender community in the district is relatively high and the aim is to increase the availability and health care. In the future, a special frontal system will be established. There are also consulting facilities.
In addition to the clinic friendly to Queer, the hospital received several new facilities, including a modern morgue complex, ICU stroke and reconstructed cattle laboratories. The hospital also offers a “sruthithitharangam” scheme, which provides surgery of cochlear implants for children with hearing impairment.
The morgue was reconstructed by adding an extra freezer, which increases the current capacity of 12 by six. The newly upgraded freak with freezer is in the style of cabins, unlike the traditional settings that existed earlier. In addition to the freezer chamber, a waiting room for relatives, reception, drinking water and garden equipment was added.
The reconstruction in the morgue was carried out at the price of 70 ₹ Lakh using the MLA fund. ICU stroke was set up for the price of 10 ₹ Lakh from the plan fund, while the clinical costly queer-friendly price 13 lakh. Health Minister Veen George has recently launched new hospital projects.
