State Superintendent of Police (SPC) Ravada Chandrasekhar said on Saturday that the investigation into the Sabarimala gold loss case by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is in its final stages and is progressing in the right way.
The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the High Court, which is closely monitoring the investigation, SPC told reporters here.
“The SIT is doing a good job. They are investigating (the case) well. The High Court is doing proper supervision,” he said.
The SIT is almost nearing the end of its investigation, Mr. Chandrasekhar added.
The Sabarimala gold loss cases relate to the alleged misappropriation of gold from the Dwarapalaka (guardian deity) idols and the Sreekovil (sanctum sanctorum) doorframes of the Ayyappa temple after the paneling on the artefacts was replaced.
