
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to arrive in Thiruvananthapuram on January 23, will be given a grand welcome, including a roadshow, by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
At a press meet on Tuesday, S. Suresh, BJP state general secretary, said around 25,000 workers would gather at Putharikandam Maidanam at 11 am to welcome the prime minister.
Mr. Modi will hand over the plan prepared for the development of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation to the Mayor at a function. The Prime Minister will also flag off four new trains allocated to Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram before the party function.
