In the mountain villages of Kozhikode, several cultural, sports and adventure events take place to prepare a trip for the 11th edition of the Malabar River Festival festival.
The meeting headed by the district collector Snehil Kumar Singh on Friday (June 6, 2025) decided to organize events such as rain walk, swimming, mud football, farm tours, Kabaddi, shuttle and volleyball in Eight Mrama Panchayats. Preliminary events will be closed by July 20.
The meeting also decided to organize local kayak competitions to support local participation. Several local young people are trained at the Intercian Kayaking Academy and other similar training centers in the region.
Meanwhile, the selection exams for the national team Kayak will take place on July 24th. Kayaks from most countries in the country arrive at codekery for this purpose.
